SERVICES
RESEARCh communications
I have significant experience of editing, writing and project-managing publications for NGOs, agencies and universities. During a time of rising inequality and conflict, and as the climate crisis escalates, there is an urgent need for organisations to communicate effectively to achieve positive change. I can support you to create and edit purposeful research publications that share evidence-based insights and solution-focused recommendations. Trained in data visualisation and accessibility, and working alongside innovative designers, I can also ensure that your publications are accessible and visually engaging.
fiction & non-fiction editing
I am passionate about great writing, whatever the genre. I provide editorial services for literary agencies and publishers, and I spent two years managing ARC, a Bristol-based editorial consultancy. I have written book reports for the BBC, copyedited crime fiction and been a judge for the Bristol Short Story Prize.
TRAVEL editing & writing
From Sardinia to South America, via British campsites and Belize, I have edited and project-managed many Rough Guides, fact-checked guidebooks for Dorling Kindersley, and freelanced for Lonely Planet and Sawdays. Along the way, I have also updated travel guides and written about incredible experiences from stargazing to marathon running for websites. I can work with you to make your travel content genuinely inspiring, whether you need to hire a proofreader or a managing editor.
COMMERCIAL copywriting & editing
I edit content and manage projects for businesses big and small. From fine-tuning copy on projects for Google, Expedia and the International Hotels Group to proofreading teaching resources for AQA and crafting content for educational institutions, I work with clients in sectors including education, technology and travel. I am a careful listener and a conscientious editor who will help you to convey a clear message across print and digital platforms.
